Great British Brands – Why brands must innovate at pace

JANUARY 2022: “Brands must innovate at pace to thrive in our disrupted times,” says Re_Set Chairman, James, Bidwell, in an article for Great British Brands.

In the piece, Bidwell shares his thoughts on the exciting state of innovation in the UK, as well as highlighting five of his top innovations recently spotted by Re_Set’s innovation intelligence hub, Springwise. These include mobile hybrid work pods, smart flooring that turns the kinetic energy of footsteps into power, and designer lamps made from discarded umbrellas.

“The UK has some of the most pioneering thinkers and disruptors around, bringing new ideas to inspire, empower and make the world a better place,” Bidwell says.

Great British Brands is published annually by Country & Town House. This year’s issue, entitled We Can Be Heroes, showcases the best of British businesses that are going above and beyond to support their employees, communities, and the wider environment, in these unprecedented times.

Bidwell is featured alongside other thought leaders, including journalist Lucy Siegle, vice chairman of Ogilvy UK, Rory Sutherland, environmentalist, Ben Goldsmith, and Jamie Gill, CEO of fashion brand, Roksanda.
