MAY 2022 – Re_Set co-founder, Sophie Bidwell, has moderated a panel of global thought-leaders on the topic of Educating Planetary Champions at a summit in Paris dubbed ‘the world’s largest event for the planet’.
For her session on rethinking the role of education in addressing the major environmental and social issues of today, Bidwell was joined on stage by Laetitia Langlois, Sustainability Manager at ESCP Business School, and Tom Rippin, the CEO and Founder of social enterprise On Purpose. She also spoke via live link with climate change ambassador, Rebecca Nkunde.
Bidwell’s session also saw her sit down with British-Indian activist, Satish Kumar, for a discussion she later described as “one of the most incredible conversations I’ve ever had.”
The conversations formed part of ChangeNOW 2022, which saw the involvement of 33,000 participants from 117 countries. During the three-day event, Bidwell hosted a further session (Resilience and Adaptation), during which she spoke with further experts from around the world.
